Superstar Gigiboy’s Secrets To Success

Dripping with cynicism and caustic wit, Gigiboy Jose’s irresistible skit comedy TikTok videos might just be your ultimate go-to content. His videos center on college life, romance, and POV, and with his mom as his “mommager”, Bubble Gang, and Banana Split as his inspiration, and his charisma as his weapon, he’s a superstar in the making. But that wasn’t really his intent when he first hopped on TikTok and started churning out content.

In his latest interview on our show, he shares that he initially created his first TikTok video, including the first one that blew up, for his friends. And when he realized that he made the right choice to continue pursuing TikTok by posting regularly, he became strategic about it. He became a religious follower of planning well for his content by first thinking of a character and internalizing all that character’s personality and nuances. The next steps are pretty simple: he dresses up, rehearses a few times, and gets it done. And boy does he do it well.

It's no surprise that over 157, 900 people follow him on TikTok and over 7 million people have liked his content. In fact, he’s even getting partnership offers and great deals for his stellar performance as a public figure not only TikTok, but also on other platforms as well. As of writing, he is growing his community on Instagram and has started a YouTube channel. You can even ask him to greet your family and friends for their birthday on Celebrity Greetings.

While his highlight reel and overall vibe scream self-reliance and confidence, he ensures us that he’s still figuring out. After graduating BS in Legal Management student at the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), he plans to experiment with content creation or get into sales, but one thing is for sure—he has grown and he will take advantage of this chance.

Unlike past Gigiboy in high school who had a clear-cut plan of what he was going to do for college—attend the University of the Philippines (UP) and major in Business Administration and Accountancy (BAA) and then pursue Law School at the UP College of Law—present-day Gigiboy is open for anything and everything that comes his way without being black and white about things. He has perfected his self-mastery and is candid about it, and that’s why whatever he pursues, I have no doubt that he’ll succeed in it.
